Overview
The Global Financing & Credit Trading (GFCT) Business Control Unit (BCU) is a global function of the 1st Line of Defense (1LoD) responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring the non-financial risk framework (NFR). The team interfaces with the Business Management team, the Trading & Financing 1LOD desks as well as the 2nd and 3rd Line of Defense, DCO Functions and to the Regulators for 1LOD concerns. You will work along-side Business Management in the Business Management and Control (BMC) function. GFCT is part of the wider Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) business of Deutsche Bank which spans multiple products and markets including Global Foreign Exchange, Rates, Global Emerging Markets (GEM), and Cross Product Structuring.

• Manage a portfolio of projects and ad-hoc initiatives with varying timeframes for delivery. Operate & test a set of controls in support of the business. Manage delivery and project updates for regulatory programs, audit findings, compliance testing findings and internal initiatives
• Analyzing sets of controls to identify and understand 1LOD control gaps, opportunities for process efficiencies and automation and to develop and execute plans to remediate accordingly
• Embed sustainable controls into the organization with supporting documentation and manage the transition of operating the controls with governance into RTB teams including offshore locations
• Manage the annual and quarterly dynamic Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process and support the identification of emerging risks
• Manage the annual Structured Products Review
• Facilitate read across of findings across the GFCT franchise and raise and track corresponding Self-Identified Issues How You'll Lead
• Develop and manage relationships with range of stakeholders from senior representatives in the Front Office, coordinating across 1LOD trading and sales business lines, business management, Compliance, Operations and infrastructure functions
• Represent GFCT and act as key liaison for various internal governance bodies Skills You'll Need
• Previous Investment Banking experience, preferably within the Front Office and with exposure to second- and third-line functions, such as Compliance, Non-financial Risk, Human Resources, Legal and Group Audit
• Sound understanding of the macro Investment Banking environment and industry initiatives, particularly around regulation with In-depth knowledge of the front-to-back trade lifecycle
• Experience working with non-financial risk framework processes and requirements including risk assessment
• Work experience from commercial banking seen as advantage
• Acute ability to perceive, identify, assess, and articulate risks within the business lifecycle Skills That Will Help You Excel
• Confident to question the status quo business practice / existing control framework
• The ability to work within a project team, build and implement plans and effectively liaise with all supporting functions to plan and co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Strong ability to present findings and implementation plans at senior management meetings
• You must be organized with strong project management skills and the ability to co-ordinate and drive change across multiple stakeholders and effectively liaise with all supporting functions
• Strong analytical and communication skills to review and synthesize technical content to senior level management - ability to simplify complex problems Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
